and many more. Its looms are also
used in the manufacture of suiting,
shirting, dress materials such as cor-
duroy, light denim, fancy poplin,
high twist, sports shirting, gingham,
worsted and woollen fabrics, fur-
nishing fabrics and industrial fab-
rics.
The company has its core compe-
tencies in designing and building a
complete range of shuttle and rapier
loom machines for the textile indus-
try. Dynamic offers reed sizes of
140 cm, 170 cm, 190 cm, 230 cm,
280 cm and 330 cm width rapier
looms.
The company is proud to be the
only large rapier loom machinery
manufacturer, with all its products
developed indigenously without any
technology transfer or collaboration.
The group has been able to achieve
this because of its technocrat & en-
trepreneurial Chairman, Mr. Vasant-
bhai Patel.
Despite the difficulties faced in
manufacturing as well as marketing
of shuttle-less looms in the 1980s,
a couple of existing manufactur-
ers and a new breed of manufac-
turers started developing low-cost,
low-speed shuttle-less rapier looms
during the 1990s. The Technology
Upgradation Fund Scheme (TUFS)
announced by the Government gave
all encouragement to the manufac-
turers.
Today the company has reached a
point where the manufacturing stage
has achieved the highest produc-
tion capacity over a span of 36 suc-
cessful years of constant endeavor
to industrial technology. This ena-
bles Dynamic Looms to reach out
to every textile market across the
country, i.e., Mumbai, Bangalore,
Salem, Coimbatore, Banaras, Hy-
derabad and Ichalkaranji, and across
the globe with existing clientele in
Loughborough (England), Stranger
(South Africa) Nepal, Sri Lanka,
Oman, etc.
“Technologically Dynamic is
at par with the best due to the vast
knowledge of this industry”, says
Mittal Patel.
The company’s candid commit-
ment to continual improvement and
product innovation has led to major
expansion. Dynamic is known for its
exceptional productivity, cost-effec-
tiveness as well as tranquil opera-
tions. The company is determined to
maintain the faith entrusted by their
valued customers owing to their im-
peccable performance and outstand-
ing customer services. A highly
dedicated team of professionals and
concurrent management practices
have driven this process
of transition.
Dynamic and other
loom manufacturers in
this segment have been
facing tough competition
from imported second-
hand rapier looms as well
as new Chinese rapier
looms. The landed cost of
a Chinese rapier loom, on
an average, does not ex-
ceed Rs. 3 lakhs. Though
the quality of Indian made
shuttle-less looms is much
superior to the Chinese
looms, there is an uneven
competition due to the
lower prices quoted for
the latter.
“By continuous R&D
programme that was initiated at the
time it was established, Dynamic is
committed to the industry as a whole
to provide the most modern and in-
novative weaving technology”, says
Mr. Mittal Patel.
To face such competition and
to survive in the market, Dynamic
Looms has equipped its manufactur-
ing unit at Ahmedabad with state-
of-the-art high-grade castings CNC
shop and assembly shop. Key parts
produced by advanced processing
equipment allow no error as they
are strictly controlled in accordance
with design drawings. This is a very
important process in making looms.
Dynamic is also an ISO 9001:2000
certified company, the first-ever to
be certified amongst the rapier man-
ufacturers in India. The processing
accuracy of Dynamic’s products,
with strictly tested parts, is well
demonstrated in their operation.
