TUV Rheinland Certification services
for exporters to Russia

The Bangalore-based TÜV Rhein-
land India, a worldwide leader in
testing, inspection, certification
and training, has announced that it
would offer market access to Indian
manufacturers exporting to Russia/
Customs Union by providing prod-
uct testing and certification serv-
ices to meet the needed technical
requirements to protect the health
and safety of people. This service
would be primarily offered to manu-
facturers and exporters of textile and
leather products.
The Customs Union consisting
of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus,
linking their economies together, is
expected to evolve into a more am-
bitious common market, with Russia
as its hub. Effective July 1, the Cus-
toms Union has enacted a unified
certification system that will enable
manufacturers/exporters to receive
one common approval which allows
them access to Russia, Kazakhstan
and Belarus.
TUV Rheinland would provide
reliable information and support to
its partners to define the relevant
requirements, perform product tests
to Russian/Customs Union require-
ments, issue certificates or register
declaration of conformity, and con-
tact the appropriate Russian authori-
ties for required registration, etc.
