In one of its recent innovations, VXL Systems has introduced a new high-capacity bale press which enables high-density bales
Coimbatore-based VXL Group, consisting of VXL Systems and VXLRT, has always been known for their thrust on innovation, technology, quality and customer service. While VXL Systems has become a preferred choice for waste evacuation and baling systems, VXLRT is counted among the leading players in ring travellers. The group is all set to showcase its latest solutions for the textile industry at the forthcoming Texfair 2022 trade show to be held in Coimbatore.
In an exclusive chat, N Damodharan and R Govindaraju, chief executives of the group, expressed happiness at the company’s performance in FY 2021-22. “Yes, it was a good year. In fact, we have done maximum sales in this year over the last decade. VXL Systems has seen increase of sales by around 50% more when compared to the previous year and in ring travellers there has been a 20% increase in sales,” Damodharan said. “While the sales have gone up, at the same time there has been a steep rise in raw material prices. This has meant that profitability has come down significantly,” Govindaraju added.
Speaking about recent launches, Damodharan pointed out that VXL Systems had introduced a new high-capacity bale press which enables high-density bales. “With the result you can load more in a container, which means savings in transportation costs,” he explained. “With these compact bales, we are now able to load approximately 25 tonnes per container. This figure was earlier around 20 tonnes. Similarly, we have also launched ‘V Live’, an IoT-enabled system, with real-time monitoring. This helps to monitor our systems and share data about the healthiness of the systems. The data is all securely stored in the cloud and can be selectively accessed with user levels. This also helps considerably reduce breakdown times as we are able to troubleshoot with real-time data and guide the maintenance personnel at the mills. With this initiative we have extended our service support to the next level,” Govindaraju said.
“As far as ring travellers are concerned, we had earlier launched two new types ‘Alpha’ ring travellers and ‘Ace Jet’ rings. We have now further refined these products. The field reports have been very encouraging. We expect a definite increase in our market share,” he continued. While 70% of the company’s business comes from exports, the rest 30% from the domestic market. Its key global export markets include Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Dubai and Thailand. While welcoming policy initiatives such as the PLI scheme and mega textile park scheme, Damodharan stated that the company has the capability to scale up its production as and when there is an increase in market requirement.
“We are operating in an order-driven industry. As and when the demand goes up, we can and will be able to gear up,” he added. Elaborating on the reasons which make the group’s solutions stand out from the crowd, Govindaraju mentioned:” So far as VXL Systems is concerned we can say confidently say that nobody else can match the kind of customization that we are able to provide. With our experience we understand every customer’s precise requirement and offer the right amount of customization. Similarly, our waste collection system needs to operate at full efficiency, 24 x 7 x 365. It is the first machine to be started and it is the final one to be stopped. The reliability of this equipment is crucial. Our system ensures that there are no stoppages. Plus, we back up our products and solutions with excellent after-sales service support, another cornerstone of our success over the years.”
The group is all set to showcase its solutions at Texfair 2022. “We will be showcasing ‘Alpha’ and ‘Ace Jet’ so far as ring travellers are concerned. Plus, we will be showcasing ‘V Live’’ and other auto baling systems. In fans, visitors can look forward to know about our newly introduced 90 KW fans, where one fan can handle 1.3 lakh metre cubes per hour air volume. This is perhaps the minimum power consuming system among those available in the country,” Damodharan remarked. Finally, sharing his vision for the future of the company, Govindaraju mentioned: “While there are challenges in the industry, we can assure our customers that we will continue to strive giving them the best products, solutions, technology and customer service.”
