Volvo Penta is demonstrating its dedication to the Indian market with the release of two new CPCB Stage II power generation engines, as well as a trip to Bangalore by the company President, Mr. Björn Ingemanson. He is making his first visit to India to meet with journalists and other key stakeholders, as well as to herald the release of two new 16-liter Volvo Penta genset units that round out the company’s range of CPCB Stage II (similar to EU Stage IIIA) emissions-compliant engines.

With the new TWD1652GE and TWD1653GE engines, Volvo Penta now offers a CPCB Stage II-compliant range from 250 kVA (the 7-liter TAD754GE) to 600 kVA (TWD1652GE) and 650 KVA (TWD1653GE) on prime power. Durable and robust for optimum uptime, the new engines are also notable for their low fuel consumption and low total cost of ownership.

And a smaller engine design often means easier installation for OEMs. The Volvo Penta CPCB Stage II engines have the same installation footprint as the current engine for minimal customer impact.

To coincide with the launch of the new engines, Volvo Penta President Björn Ingemanson will also meet with key OEMs and joint venture partners. He will be accompanied by Mr. Giorgio Paris, President of the company’s Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific Region, and Mr. Lars Ljungqvist, Senior Vice President, Planning, Product Development and Purchasing.

“In the near future, India will be one of our largest and most important industrial engine markets,” Mr. Ingemanson said. “By expanding our range of products suited to the Indian market, we are demonstrating our long-term commitment to this market and to our OEM partners. This trip allows us to meet with the local organization to learn more about this important market, as well as to continue discussions about production and further expansion with our joint venture partners.”
