The Textile Machinery Division of Voltas Ltd. conducted a symposium on “advanced discontinuous dyeing technology & solution for modern efficient & effective dye house” jointly with its partner Thies & Setex from Germany at Ludhiana on May 3. The overwhelming response from the participants contributed for the success of the event.
Welcoming the participants, Mr. ONR Amarbapu, Sr. General Manager (Operation), TMD, Voltas Ltd., emphasized the importance and criticality of the environmental factor in the processing industry. Mr. Ludger Sommer of Thies, spoke on the latest development in discontinuous dyeing technology and solution from Thies as well as the dye house automation technology and solution.
Thies model iMaster in HTHP version with ultra low liquor hydrolic soft flow dyeing m/cs for knitted fabrics is one of the highlighted equipment from the company’s complete product range. The most important factor is less water consumption which ultimately results in low consumption of steam, power, chemicals and dyestuffs.
Mr. Sommer also touched upon the proven yarn dyeing machine model “ecobloc” HTHP with airpad system of capacities (1-11,000 kg), where the MLR is optimised between 1:3-1:6. The model “Quattro”, which is available from 1 package per kier upto 8 packages per kier and from one kier to 6 kiers, in any permutation and combination, is the dream machine of all yarn dyeing processing houses because of its flexibility and coupling functionality.
Yarn drying operational cost being critical in recent times, Thies proposes introduction of a most efficient and conomical dyer with advantages like reduced handling of materials, static hydroextraction, labour savings, etc.
He also said that the Thies MPS System for chemical, dyestuffs, salt, soda, integrated with the dyeing machines and Orgatex helps in improving productivity, higher RFT %, saving in chemicals & dyestuffs, etc. There are quite a number of dye houses in India which have successfully adopted the system.
Mr. Stefan Saam, Sales Director, Setex, explained the dyehouse net working system and energy management. The production and performance management software has been specially designed for dyeing and finishing in textile manufacturing. The weighing station for controlled weighing, integration with automatic dispensing systems and energy management are the other tools and systems offered by Setex for the modern dye house to stay ahead with high technology.
Proposing a vote of thanks, Mr. Kishor Kumar Dash hailed the team work, pre & post-sales services as well as ethical business practices & partnership from Setex India and Thies India, which are subsidiaries of the German companies.
