Coimbatore-based Vetri Engineers has made a distinct place for itself in the textile industry with its top rollers and textile spinning replacement spares. The company has steadily grown over the years and also exports to many key global markets. Vetri Engineers is all geared up to showcase its products at the forthcoming Texfair 2024 trade show.
Speaking about the company’s recent performance, S. Jayaprakash, Chief Executive, stated,” FY 2023-24 was a difficult period for the entire textile industry. However, thanks to our quality focus and customer service, we have been able to maintain our market. We hope that the difficult phase ends soon and the textile industry bounces back with full vigour.”
Giving an overview of the company’s display at Texfair 2024, he said,” We will be showcasing our top rollers. Our catalogue of textile spinning replacement spares will also be displayed at the exhibition. Our aim always has been to offer superior quality at a reasonable price. This has been one of our key areas of strength.”
The company has made steady inroads into many key global markets. “We have been exporting to South American and European countries, as well as to USA. It is a matter of pride for us that our top rollers are running successfully in the textile mills of these countries.”
“Our split between exports and domestic sales is 40:60 respectively. We have been exporting for the past 3 decades. Even during this slowdown, we have customers who buy from us in large volumes,” he explained.
Listing down the reasons that give the company its competitive edge, Jayaprakash mentioned,” We have been front – runners in top rollers for the past 32 years. Before we entered the business in India, top rollers were mostly imported from Germany, Switzerland, Japan, etc. We did a lot of R&D and reverse engineering on top rollers & end bush that were on par with those manufactured abroad. We are constantly focusing on modernizing our infrastructure, which includes high precision automated CNC machines. We also maintain stringent quality standards and incorporate digital technologies. Plus, as mentioned earlier, we offer good quality at a reasonable price & faster delivery, which is our forte.”
Speaking on the importance of Texfair, Jayaprakash mentioned,” We have been regularly participating in Texfair for the last 25 years. About 60% of the textile mills of South India are located in the region. This makes Texfair a very important platform to meet potential customers.”
