VDMA technology sessions in Mumbai and Coimbatore in December

Two technological conferences with the theme “German technology meets Indian textiles” will be organised by VDMA. The first conference will be held in Mumbai on December 3 and the second in Coimbatore on December 5. Indian textile companies aiming for new products, improved quality of fabrics and enhanced competitiveness have the chance to learn more about the latest solutions to realize these objectives from 14 well-known German textile machinery and accessories builders.

Speakers from German companies and institutes will present practice-oriented technology topics related to twisting, knitting, warp-knitting, weaving, finishing and dyeing machinery, textile as well as testing and measurement and control equipment. Major application areas will cover garments, home textiles and industrial applications (technical textiles) for medical, building and automotive industry, among others.

Moreover, important cross-topics like energy and material efficiency will be presented in the framework of the VDMA sustainability initiative Blue Competence. Issues like life cycle costs, certification and labelling as well as buyer’s credits (export finance) will enrich the program for the benefit of the industry participants. Last but not the least, the conference dinner will provide further networking opportunities in a relaxed atmosphere.

Visitors to the event have the chance to inform themselves about innovative German technology by attending the presentations as well as by participating in the B2B matchmaking dialogue (one-to-one 30-minute pre-scheduled meetings).

Starting from October visitors can register online for the presentations and arrange meetings with the German companies and their agents. In addition, a conference magazine will be provided and distributed by VDMA partners in October and November.

Interested stakeholders from the Indian textile industry are welcome to visit the German pavilion at Techtextil India to be held in Mumbai during October 3-5. Boris Abadjieff, VDMA Textile Machinery Association, and Sumit Sharma, VDMA India Office (Noida), will be present at the booth and will provide visitors with all necessary information concerning the conferences in December and all other issues related to German technology.
