In a significant step towards promoting continuous learning and professional development in the textile sector, Vardhman Textiles, a prominent name in the industry, has teamed up with the prestigious institute NIT-Jalandhar. The collaboration aims to offer a specialized M.Tech degree program tailored to the needs of working engineers within Vardhman.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony marked a pivotal moment, bringing academia and industry together in a common pursuit of advancing knowledge and skills within the textile domain. The program intends to empower working professionals, who may have challenges pursuing full-time courses due to their busy schedules, with flexible and accessible education options.
Ms. Suchita Oswal Jain (VC & JMD, Vardhman Textiles), along with Mr. Neeraj Jain (JMD, Vardhman Textiles), Mr. Rajeev Mehani (Sr. VP, Vardhman Textiles), and Mr. Gurpreet Singh (CGM, Vardhman Textiles), represented the organization during the MoU signing. From NIT-Jalandhar, Dr. Monica Sikka (Head of Textile Technology), and Prof A. Mukhopadhyay and Dr. A. K. Choudhary were present, signifying the importance of this collaboration.
This strategic initiative by Vardhman not only aims to enhance the technical acumen of its working engineers but also creates opportunities for them to take on higher technical assignments within the company. The joint efforts will also extend into research and the sharing of laboratories to promote academic exploration in the field of textiles, ultimately benefitting the entire textile industry.
Speaking about the partnership, Ms. Suchita Oswal Jain expressed her excitement, stating: “We are thrilled to partner with NIT-Jalandhar in launching the M.Tech. education program for our working engineers.
