Vardhman announces Rs. 2000 crore investment in capacity expansion, Forays into Technical Textiles Manufacturing

Vardhman has recently approved a significant enhancement and modernization plan for its existing Spinning and Fabric Business. This initiative, backed by a substantial capital outlay of approximately Rs. 2,000 crore, aims to bolster the company’s operational capacity and embrace sustainable practices.

Currently, Vardhman boasts a capacity of 12.37 lakh equivalent spindles and produces approximately 175 million meters of processed fabric annually. As part of its expansion strategy, Vardhman plans to install 5,520 rotors and 17,000 spindles, totaling to about 50,000 equivalent spindles. Additionally, the company will invest in new capacity for Technical Textiles, targeting a production output of 15 lakh meters of fabric per month.

Moreover, Vardhman is committed to sustainable growth and plans to venture into Green Power generation through Solar, Wind, or Hybrid Projects. This initiative aligns with the company’s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and embrace renewable energy sources. Furthermore, Vardhman aims to upgrade its existing IT systems to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

The ambitious expansion and modernization plan is scheduled to be completed within the next 2 years. By augmenting its operational capacity and adopting modern technologies, Vardhman anticipates achieving better business synergies and gaining a competitive advantage in the market. Additionally, the modernization efforts are poised to enhance productivity across business operations, enabling Vardhman to meet the growing demand effectively.
