A delegation of Turkish textile machinery manufacturers recently came to India to explore the possibilities of supplying machinery and components to local textile customers. The delegation representing 12 Turkish companies visited Tiruppur too and met the members of the Dyers Association of Tiruppur (DAT).
Besides having one-to-one meetings with over 60 DAT members, TEMSAD signed a co-operation agreement with DAT towards enhancing the trade volume among the member-companies. Mr. Goktug Bayri, Commercial Officer of the Turkish Consulate General in Mumbai, was present all along.
The team members also visited four dyeing plants in Tirupur to get a first-hand impression on the production process and capabilities.
TEMSAD has over 160 member-companies manufacturing textile machinery, spareparts and textile chemicals. With Mr. Richard Salvatore as general coordinator, TEMSAD has signed co-operation agreements with similar trade associations in as many as 17 countries with the main objective of increasing the mutual trade volume.
Both TEMSAD and DAT have agreed to organize a visit by the Tirupur delegation to the ITM 2016 International Textile Machinery Exhibition to be held at the Tuyap Convention Centre, Istanbul, during June 1-4. TEMSAD has very good relations and have signed MoUs with other trade associations in India such as ITAMMA, TMMA and are also the sole representatives of the India ITME Society in Turkey.
