TSi Power: Safeguarding Advanced Technologies with Innovative Voltage Regulators

By Arun Rao

TSi Power Pvt Ltd, a leading manufacturer of static voltage regulators, has gained strong recommendations from various industrial verticals for its products, including the textile sector. To this effect, global OEMs actively recommend TSi Power’s solutions to ensure optimal performance and protection of their machinery from voltage fluctuations. In the process, TSi Power has solidified its reputation and built a significant reference base across industries.

Meeting the Demands of Modern Technologies

“There are many companies manufacturing voltage stabilizers in the market, but their solutions are not able to meet the needs of the current generation of advanced technologies. As a result, voltage fluctuations can cripple machines. This is why many companies including a major textile OEM recommends our solutions to safeguard their machines,” Mr. Ashish Mittal, Director at TSi Power, explained to The Textile Magazine.

TSi Power’s Foundation and Innovation

Founded in 2011, TSi Power was established to address a gap in the market where conventional power stabilizers were insufficient for the needs of semiconductor-based and high-end machinery. These technologies required advanced solutions to handle voltage fluctuations effectively.

The Vadodara based company formed a partnership with TSI Power in the USA to secure manufacturing and distribution rights for Asia and Africa. The company produces voltage regulators that have no moving parts and are entirely made up of electronic components. As automation, accompanied by increased electronics, has become more prevalent, TSi Power’s stabilizers are now used across industries like textiles, automotive, defense, injection molding, among others.

Manufacturing Facilities and Workforce

TSi Power operates a manufacturing facility spanning 100,000 sq. feet of land, with around 45,000 sq. feet of built-up area spread across two locations in Vadodara. The company employs approximately 100 people, including a very active R&D team and manufactures voltage regulators with capacities ranging from 6 KVA to a maximum of 300 KVA.

Strong After-Sales Service Support

“After-sales service is a strong pillar of our business. We offer comprehensive support across India with 30 service engineers,” said Mr. Mittal. “Interestingly, about 50% of the complaints we receive are unrelated to our stabilizers. We first attempt to resolve issues via phone calls, as many customers mistakenly assume the fault lies with our products.”

Serving Diverse Sectors: Textile, Automotive, and Beyond

In the textile segment, TSi Power has a robust customer base that includes the likes of Raymond Luxury Cottons, Sangam Group, LNJ Group and many more. In the automotive sector, it has customers such as Honda, Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki, and Mercedes-Benz. Original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) also purchase these regulators to bundle them with their machinery or technologies.

Future Growth and Technological Advancements

“We are in the process of expanding our voltage regulator capacity to 1,000 KVA. For this project, we have partnered with one of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), who are consulting on the initiative,” Mr. Mittal shared. The 1,000 KVA regulator can be placed at the point where electricity enters the plant, eliminating the need for individual stabilizers for each machine or utility. TSi Power also plans to introduce Smart Display modules that can detect faults and Power Analyzers to enhance the functionality of their solutions.

Final Thoughts: Making Informed Purchasing Decisions

Mr. Mittal concluded, “When purchasing a voltage stabilizer, we urge buyers to focus on more than just the price. It is essential to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the solution and consider the entire lifespan of the stabilizer before taking a final decision.”
