Plans to leverage on new capacities created
Trident Ltd. clocked a turnover of Rs. 2,904.3 crores in 2015-16. It strengthened its global presence with the setting up of a marketing team in the US for better market reach and service. It has also opened a subsidiary company in Europe to cater the growing demand and step up the marketing efforts to serve the European nations. In India, the company is strengthening the marketing and designing team of both bath and bed segments.
Mr. Rajinder Gupta, Chairman at Trident Group, said: “I am happy to share that we reported the highest-ever EBITDA and PAT during the financial year. Our EBITDA and profit after tax increased by 8% and 94% to Rs. 751 crores and Rs. 228 crores respectively. This was a result of our focus on expanding margins by improving operational efficiencies and other strategic initiatives. During the year, our effort was towards higher penetration in domestic and international markets.”
The roadmap for the coming year looks promising, as the company is to fully utilise its global scale capacities in the home textiles segment. All the initiatives and efforts made by the marketing team would start yielding results in the current year as we expect notable pick-up in volumes and ramp up in utilization levels. With major capex, strong financial performance in the coming years will enable us the company to generate significant free cash flows, which will hopefully create tremendous value for all its stakeholders.
