Trident bags two prestigious Awards from Texprocil and CITI

Trident Ltd. has bagged three prestigious awards recently. The company has bagged two awards from the Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council of India (Texprocil) – a Silver Trophy for Best Terry Towel Exporter in Made-ups Category and a Bronze Trophy for Best Global Exporter (Overall) and CITI Birla Award for Human Resource Management in textile mills.

 The Texprocil awards were presented to Trident by Ms. Kiran Dhingra, Secretary (Textiles), Government of India and the CITI Birla award by Mr. S.V. Arumugam, Chairman, Confederation of Indian Textile Industry. Trident has already established its niche in the global market by building the confidence and trust of customers by providing quality services and delivering excellence.

 Speaking about the achievement, Mr. Abhishek Gupta, Managing Director, Trident Ltd., observed: “We are extremely glad to receive this honor from Texprocil. I thank the Council for appreciating our efforts and honoring us with the Awards.”

 Innovation has been a hallmark of Trident. From finest cotton to specialty fibers to new weaving techniques, Trident has been giving new products and innovations to the market on a regular basis. The total textile exports of the Trident Group during 2011-12 were Rs. 1,369 crores. The export turnover of textiles increased by 22.5 per cent during the year as compared to the previous year, and exports of terry towels increased by 21 per cent.

 Texprocil Awards are granted to exporters registered with it in recognition of outstanding export performance in cotton textiles coming under the purview of the Council namely, cotton yarn, cotton fabrics and cotton made-ups.

 Trident has been honoured with the CITI Birla Award for adopting the best HR practices across all verticals of HR, like organization development, recruitment and retention and PMS, reward and recognition and, in addition, has introduced various incentive schemes for applauding and encouraging the earnability of its high performing members. The Award encourages entrepreneurship, thus empowering them to take decisions and promote ownership within the organization. The initiatives aim at enhancing the managerial competencies and to facilitate organizational growth and development.
