Tosrifa Industries Ltd. (TIL) is a leading manufacturer of knit garment products supplying to reputed global fashion brands, including Original Marine, Next, Toray, Sportsmaster and Gustav Daiber. TIL has set up a new green dyeing unit for producing knit fabric required for manufacturing quality knit garment products. This fabric dyeing unit can facilitate to deliver stable growth with some value driven initiatives that can help to generate long-term value addition to the group.

He adds: “Bangladesh still remains as one of the main sourcing destinations of textiles and RMG. Total RMG export goal is aligned with the $50 billion dollar target within 2021 set by BGMEA. TIL has made its preparation to contribute in achieving this aim with the finest operational efficiency and sustainable procedures”.
Infrastructure and facilities
TIL is built on a seven-storied building with a floor space of approximately 190,400 sq. ft. The facility at Gazipur is equipped with 34 circular knitting machines, 24 flat bed knitting machines, 620 sewing machines and laid-out in 16 lines having a production capacity of 2,550 tons knitting and 6.90 million pcs of garments per year.
The company has established a dyeing unit to meet its own requirements as well as that of its group companies. The dyeing unit is fully operational now, equipped with state-of-art machineries with a capacity of dyeing 6 tons per day.
The company installed new machineries which have been imported from Japan, China, Germany, Singapore and Taiwan for the dyeing project. It also has sufficient safety instruments like fire fighting equipments, hose pipes, smoke detectors to protect against fire.
Mr. Mohim Hassan, Managing Director, observes: “Our first priority is to do our utmost to maintain the highest ethical standard in our business with compliant governance and lowest environmental hazard. We have become the most preferred business partners of textiles and RMG manufacturers in Bangladesh for our commitment in quality and timely shipment.
Secondly, effective cost management and margin improvement were upheld but it was challenging, especially for continuous pressure of reducing product price. In addition, new gazette of increasing minimum wage by the government has been quite challenging for whole RMG industry. However, the company has taken measures to face the issues so that financial stability remains intact.
Thirdly, as part of the sustainable and environment friendly operational work, the green fabric division of Tosrifa Industries has already started its partial commercial operation by natural gas connection. It has set records of producing and dyeing fabric with the least wastage in the process will continue to do so.
Finally, the company remains focused on new product innovation, product diversification and superior product quality by using the latest technology possible. In 2018, its strong, innovative and unique marketing efforts helped it go towards achieving the set goal of becoming the market leader in the industry.
The major product of TIL consists of T-Shirt, Polo-shirt, Sportswear, Tank Tops and others. TIL has the capacity of 2,550 ton knitting, 1,800 ton dyeing and 6.90 million pcs sewing against which it produced 2,238 ton knitting, 810 ton dyeing (dyeing has started from December 2017) and 5.62 million pcs sewing in FY2018 resulting 87.76% utilization in knitting, 77.14% utilization in dyeing and 81.44% utilization in sewing. TIL is trying to develop its product quality continuously so that it can maintain a good relationship with the buyer. Normally buyers provide the product designs and specifications. In addition, the company also develops new design according to market fashion and trend.
