Mr. Ernesto Maurer, CEO, SSM Schärer Schweiter Mettler AG, will step down and take over as Chairman of the company with effect from April 1, 2016. His successor as CEO will be the actual Head of R+D and MD of SSM GIUDICI, Dr. Davide Maccabruni.
Dr. Maccabruni has been with SSM for the last 10 years. He has contributed a lot for the development of the company. With his move to the top, SSM will further strengthen its leadership as a textile machinery manufacturer in Switzerland.
SSM has along driving the global market in winding technologies. It is the leading manufacturer of winding and texturing machines as well as sewing thread finish winders. Apart from its headquarter in Switzerland, SSM operates two subsidiaries, one in Northern Italy and the other in Southern China.
