Tamil Nadu Machinery and Mills Store Merchants Association (TMMSMA) conducted a catalogue-cum-product show at Rajapalayam in the first week of September.
The show, inaugurated by Mr. T.R. Dhinakaran, Chairman of Shri Ramalinga Mills Ltd., Aruppukottai, attracted more than 50 exhibitors from all over the State who presented their latest product range for the textile industry. There was also overwhelming response to the show in terms of the number of visitors, ranging from textile millowners and textile consultants to shopfloor employees from mills in and around Rajapalayam.
The catalogue-cum-product show, the two-day event, was attended by more than 1,000 business visitors and industry professionals.
In a casual chat with The Textile Magazine, Mr. N. Natarajan, President of the Association, said: “Our members are engaged in production or marketing of textile machinery spares and accessories required by spinning mills, weaving and processing units.
Our Association is a service-oriented cluster aimed at providing quality solutions for the Indian textile industry”.
TMMSMA, Coimbatore, was established in 1986 with just 12 members.
Its current strength is 400 plus. The Association is affiliated to the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (CODISSIA) and the Indian Textile Accessories & Machinery Manufacturers Association (ITAMMA).
