SKF India has announced the opening of its third solution factory in the eastern region, at Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. The first two units are at Pune in the western region and at Manesar in the north.
The Jamshedpur facility will serve as another satellite unit and focus on large-sized bearing remanufacturing analysis process, customized machined seals for hydraulic cylinders, basic hydraulic cylinder repair and maintenance-related training solutions. The factory will cater to the customers primarily focusing on the metals and mining industry in the eastern part of India with competencies across SKF’s technology platforms and specific asset management and maintenance services.

SKF India set up the first SKF solution factory in 2009 in Pune and gradually scaled up operations to provide a number of services to customers. Pune remains the central solution factory as it will support the local unit with central services.
