Hermann Bühler’s 200th birthday celebrated
The third Rieter air-jet spinning machine J 20 was put into operation right on time for the 200th birthday of the company Hermann Bühler AG in Sennhof (Switzerland). On June 29 last Bühler opened its doors for its customers around the world.
The motto of the customer day was: A passion for spinning for 200 years. Around 140 yarn customers and invited guests from around the world were on hand on this occasion, and used the opportunity among others to appraise the Rieter air-jet spinning machine live.
The red Rieter armchair, familiar from “The Comfort of Competence” campaign, was also on hand by special request of Bühler. The arriving guests walked like stars across the red carpet to the Rieter armchair and had their photos taken on it. Glowing expressions from the start!
As official launch of the customer day there was an aperitif at noon, followed by presentations in the afternoon. The audience showed an active interest in subjects such as the processing of raw materials and yarn manufacture and its finishing. During the subsequent tour of the premises the 140 invited guests had an opportunity to view production at Bühler and to see the Rieter J 20 air-jet spinning machine in operation for the first time. The visitors were impressed by the high production speed and automation of the machine.
