Texvalley is an integrated textile market, first of its kind in South India, initiative by the Govt. of India with the support of Govt. of Tamil Nadu to help weavers in the cluster of Erode. It represents southern state’s textile activities, which has grown in terms of value, volume and variety over the decades. Texvalley houses domestic Textile Zone, with a complete eco-system of business ethics, compliance and certifications. Thus, Texvalley becomes a single point of textile sourcing for domestic and global market.
Now, Texvalley in association with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), which is playing a proactive role in India’s development process, is jointly organizing WEAVES, a premier textile fair at Texvalley, Erode from 5th to 8th December 2018. CII works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the development of India, partnering industry, Government, and Civil Society, through advisory and consultative processes.
At the outset, the event WEAVES,
-is an attempt to have Global connect for weavers and create opportunities through Networking, Technology, Smart Marketing and Business Empowerment.
-To facilitate partnership between Indian and International buyers with textile manufacturers and traders of this region.
-Intends to establish a national and global linkage by facilitating the trade in India’s textile ecosystem that serves the needs and rising aspirations of the country’s 1.3 billion consumers.
It will appropriately be a right platform to enable weavers in Erode and nearby districts to exhibit their capabilities, hitherto largely dominated by market channels and to market their products directly to the global and domestic customers.
As the world looks for new growth opportunities, WEAVES is all set to serve the manufacturers and wholesalers striving hard to grow and realize their fullest potential by catering to the rising aspirations of its buyers both nationally and globally. The region is amongst the largest producers and manufacturers of various textile products, WEAVES strives to attract the nations and world’s largest textile buyers and connect them with the regions finest manufacturers and traders.
It is proposed to be an annual event from this year onwards with the event partnership of CII, Zonal office and with TEA, AEPC, CMAI, FIEO, ITF, IL&FS Clusters, PDEXCIL, SIMA, SRTEPC, TEXPROCIL & HEPC are being roped in as supporting partners of the event.
