Tex Tech to launch brushes for non-cotton combing at Texfair 2024

Tex Tech Industries has made a distinct mark for itself as a leading manufacturer of critical spares for all types of combers. The Coimbatore-based company also offers hi-performance retrofit kits and upgrades 3rd generation combers to latest 4th generation optimizing production, quality and yield. The company is excitedly looking forward to display its latest innovations at the forthcoming Texfair 2024 trade fair to be held in Coimbatore.

Beginning an exclusive interaction with the performance of the company in FY 2023-24, S. Malligarjunan, MD of the company said, “As we all know the going was tough. We didn’t have any big increase in turnover. However, we focused on consolidation and R&D. We hope that the worst is behind us now.”

New launch at Texfair 2024

Going into the company’s recent investments, Malligarjunan mentioned about the installation of a new European state of art 5 axis CNC machine. “It’s a state-of-the-art machine for manufacturing brushes for carding, nonwovens, jute manufacturers and where gill box combing is required. We are going to diversify to manufacturing all types of brushes other than cotton combing. We have already started supplying the brushes in a small way and they have been well received.”

“In Texfair we will be launching the brushes for non-cotton combing and gill box combing system, made using the 5 axis CNC machine. These high quality brushes will come with a warranty. Plus we will also be showcasing all our other products,” he added.

Global presence

The thrust on quality and innovation has enabled the company to gain a foothold in several key global markets. The exports and domestic sales split of the company is 65:35. “So far as FY 2023-24 is concerned we can say our sustenance happened because of exports. We regularly export to countries like Indonesia, Vietnam, Egypt, Turkey, Bangladesh, Iran, Italy, Mauritius, Argentina and Brazil,” he said.

According to Malligarjunan with labor difficult to find as well as getting expensive, automation is the only solution for the future. Going into Tex Tech’s solutions in terms of automation he said,” We have two products in the pipeline – ‘Lap transport system’ and ‘Auto Piecing’ for combers. They will be launched at a later point in time. We take pride in stating that in keeping with the ‘Atma Nirbhar’ spirit, these two products are being 100% indigenously developed by us.

When asked about the vision for the company by 2030, he mentioned,” The third generation i.e., my son, who is specializing in material science and composites, is expected to join the business by 2025. We have planned for a series of products from composites for the textile industry. In fact, we have already supplied a part, which has been well received.”

“Right now for composites, the raw material is being imported and the finished product done here. In the near future, we want them to be completely produced and supplied from our manufacturing facility in Coimbatore. This way we can offer the products at half the price at which they are available in the market now.”

“Texfair is a valuable platform for us to showcase our products and also connect with a wide range of customers from around the globe. We look forward to presenting our innovative solutions to visitors at our stall ‘B – 5’ at the exhibition,” he said in conclusion.
