The Teijin Group showcased a variety of products and solutions focusing on comfort and ecology at HeimTextil 2016, the world’s largest home-textiles trade fair, held in Frankfurt, Germany from January 12 to 15.
The Teijin booth (B-55, Hall 8.0), designed as a living space to exhibit materials in real-life settings, presented materials used in mattresses, comforters, pillows and other bedding items. Teijin materials on display include:
elk® polyester cushioning material
This lightweight, durable, cushiony and breathable material is an excellent substitute for polyurethane used in mattresses and many other cushioning applications. It is also eco-friendly because it does not generate cyanogen gas when incinerated.
Solotex® polytrimethylene terephthalate fiber
Teijin showcased pillows made with Solotex®, a polytrimethylene terephthalate fiber that has soft touch. Partially bio-derived, Solotex® helps to conserve fossil resources.
Fiber-filling material
The booth also presented a variety of high-performance polyester fibers for filling applications, including luxuriously soft fiber-filling material.
Teijin showcased these and other products and solutions to promote the company’s ongoing global-business expansion. HeimTextil, held every January, attracted about 68,000 visitors from 68 countries last year.
