Symphony, a leading Indian company providing air cooling solutions for residential and industrial segment, is now focusing on the textile industry offering advanced, energy-efficient cooling and humidification solutions. The company was one of the first players to launch air coolers, which was then a highly unorganized segment. Having established a leadership position in the home air cooler segment, the company is all set to provide air cooling and humidification solutions for the textile industry.

Symphony has recently ventured into the Indian industrial & commercial air cooling market. In 2008, it acquired Impco, a Mexican company that pioneered the manufacture of efficient, low-cost environment-friendly air coolers. These industrial air coolers are ideal in applications where extreme heat is encountered or in large facilities where refrigerated air is considered expensive.

Mr. Rajesh Mishra, Senior General Manager – Marketing, Symphony Ltd., says: “Symphony can provide both humidification and cooling solutions for textile industry. Our products are very well engineered, compact and energy efficient. Textile customers who are looking for reliable, optimum performance and a trusted name to back it up can rely on the solutions we offer”.

Symphony’s heavy duty industrial air coolers are manufactured in Impco’s state-of-the-art plant in North America. These coolers provide cost-efficient environment-friendly cooling solutions for industrial and commercial applications. They are machine-made, modular units with cooling capacity ranging from 3,000 to 60,000 CFM. They are made from automotive steel with PLASTISOL coating and POLYBOND powder-based coating that prevent corrosion and ensure durability.

Symphony’s industrial air coolers are designed to provide superior performance in warm workplace settings. It is ideal for factories, offices, schools, malls, assembly halls, warehouses, metro stations, etc. These coolers improve working conditions, leading to increased worker morale, productivity, attendance and performance. Although there are several players in this category, Symphony’s products are considered superior on account of their engineering, aesthetics, performance, energy efficiency, higher value and lower operating cost. The products have been endorsed by a number of corporate giants like General Electric, Wal-Mart Stores, Lear Corporation, Jamarat Complex and more than 100 supermarkets in Mexico.

Symphony has done industrial air cooling projects for the stores of retail majors like Wal-Mart, Sears & Home Depot in the Americas. In India, Symphony has done air cooling projects for industrial units of Maruti, Nestle, Hero Group, Asahi Glass, amongst others. The company is already in talks with Bharti-Walmart for its forthcoming projects.

The company has also done air cooling projects for religious institutions like Baba Ramdev and Swaminarayan. In fact, one of the world’s largest air cooling projects was done for the Mecca Madina project and executed by Impco.

Symphony currently does a turnover of Rs. 320 crores and the target is Rs. 500 crores in the next few years, says Mr. Rajesh Mishra. He expects much of the growth to come from the industrial segment in the future.

Although the textile industry is quite new to Symphony, its global expertise and experience in offering solutions to many other industries in India and other international markets will help the company establish a credible presence for itself in this industry.
