The company Founder-Promoter, Mr. A. Thangavel, sharing his views on the textile machinery trade fair said: “It was a great show. It was an ideal platform to introduce our new machine to certain unexplored markets, even though we have a lot of installations all over the country. This time around we had a warm welcome from numerous corporate houses, signifying our potential, presence and technology.”

Going into salient features of the new product, Mr. Thangavel said: “Our new launch, the ASD1200i Super Ultima Autoleveller Drawframe, can operate upto 1200 metres/minute. The machine demo was shown upto 850 metres/minute at the stall on polyester cotton mixing sliver with the blend ratio of 60:40. The new product generated positive response from all the visitors to our stall.”

Some of the leading names that visited the company stall were Sangam (India) Ltd., Nimbark Fashions, Winsome Group, Vardhman Group, Ramco Group, Shanmugavel Group, Premier Group, Jayalakshmi Group and Sambandam Group. It also attracted around 800 visitors, of whom more than 30 per cent immediate delivery of products.

In fact the company finalized quite a few orders at the trade show. Listing them out Mr. Thangavel said: “The machine on display was sold on the very first day to Shree Ganesh Cotspin, Panipat, and subsequently it was a moment of pride and joy when Sangam India Ltd., Bhilwara, confirmed two machines, which was followed by a few other customers in North India and one customer from Coimbatore and one from Maharashtra. Overall around 12 machines were confirmed during India ITME 2016.”

Mr. Thangavel had an interesting take when queried about his expectations from the Indian textile market. He pointed out: “Everyone was looking for an improvement in yarn quality from their existing standard, and when our machine specifications were explained, they had immediately shown interest in replacing their machine with our latest Drawframe Technology. This shows that the requirement in the replacement market is very high, compared to new project customers.”

Continuing further he said: “The Indian textile market scenario therefore in 2017 looks very positive on the modernization and technology upgradation front rather than increase in the overall spindleage.”

When asked to rate the company’s participation at the premier trade show, Mr. Thangavel said: “We would give 10 out of 10 stars for our participation in India ITME 2016. Maybe the only small glitch could be the lack of international visitors.”

Before signing off, he quipped on a positive note: “Overall it was a good opportunity and development-based show for the Indian textile industry.”
