The Coimbatore-based Super Machine Works launched its feature-rich Super Ultima ASD1000z Autoleveller DrawFrame at Texfair 2017. The company also showcased one of its latest products, the open-end spinning machine.
Commenting on the response to the company products at the event, Mr. T.S. Sundaram, Joint Managing Director, said: “The response was fantastic. We had lots of corporate millowners, chairmen, technical advisors and managers visiting our stall to take a closer look at our open-end spinning machine. We had actually invited only a select few people, but the positive word of mouth about the machine had spread, and we received visitors from places such as Rajapalayam in Tamil Nadu to Rajkot in Gujarat. This is a first of its kind machine in India, and we are extremely satisfied with the response received.”
Mr. Sundaram further said the machine, which had undergone extensive trials before being put for public display at Texfair 2017, will be available from April 2018. This 100% indigenously developed product is yet another feather in the cap of the company’s R&D team.
The company Founder-Promoter, Mr. A. Thangavel, pointed out how the company had been driven by its motto to come out with a machine that would be most beneficial to the Indian textile industry and yet affordable.
“Technology and performance-wise, our open-end spinning machine is on par with the imported machines and cost much less. Moreover, all our customers are also assured of timely technical support services too,” he said.
According to Mr. Sundaram, the company is planning an expansion of its assembly unit, with the addition of an open-end spinning machinery line.
Both Mr. Thangavel and Mr. Sundaram are confident of the prospects of the textile industry. Being next only to agriculture in terms of employment generation it would continue to be an important industry and would fare extremely well in the future.
