On its booth P1 in Hall 5, Stäubli will be showing a selection of its most modern products of the complete textile machinery range. This includes cam motions, dobbies and electronic Jacquard machines with harnesses, and weaving preparation systems with automatic warp drawing-in, leasing and warp tying machines. Furthermore, state-of-the-art electronic drives and control solutions by DEIMO, predominantly for textile machines, will be shown.
Stäubli Group member Schönher represents its exclusive carpet samples, including those manufactured with Multi Weft Selector, produced on the ALPHA 400 carpet-weaving machine.
The Stäubli products for display at India ITME 2012 are:
Type SX Jacquard machine
Since its introduction two years ago, the SX Jacquard machine has gained wide approval from customers. This extremely versatile machine for broad use in modern Jacquard weaving mills meets the highest demands. Its productivity surpasses that of other models. The machine is more compact and offers higher performance in terms of loads and speed. Its nearly vibration-free drive mechanism is extremely reliable. With a minimum maintenance, the SX is available in two sizes, with 1,408 or 2,688 hooks. It is adaptable to rapier, airjet, and projectile weft-insertion systems.
New type SX V Jacquard machine for velvet
Its sister model, the SX V, has meanwhile been developed for production of velvet fabrics. The SX V is equipped with 2,688 hooks driven by the M6.2 three-position module. The machine version can be adapted to any type of new or existing velvet weaving machine.
At ITME an SX with 2,688 hooks, including Stäubli harness, will be demonstrated at the Stäubli booth weaving terry towel fabric on a 260 cm wide rapier weaving machine. A second Jacquard machine type SX can be seen on a demonstration unit that includes the new control unit JC7 with colour touch screen simulating production of upholstery fabric with Stäubli harness of 5,164 cord and reed width 140 cm at a speed of 1,000 rpm.
Type LX1602 Jacquard machine
The LX 1602, built for high speed and greater load capacity, and available in a range up to 5,120 hooks, will also be exhibited at the Stäubli booth. It will be producing upholstery fabric on a 340 cm wide rapier weaving machine, configured with a Stäubli harness of 19,200 harness cords.
New generation of dobbies
Based on the success of the rotary dobby invented by Stäubli decades ago, the newly developed rotary dobby family S3060/S3260 comes with a new locking system – the heart of every dobby. The evolutionary principle features enhanced security for the selection of the heald frames, allowing higher running speeds as well as superior reliability. Thanks to its state-of-the-art technology, the new machine is even more compact and generates less noise and vibration despite its higher speed. It also has a built-in cooling system connexion and requires less maintenance.
An S3060 dobby will also be operated at the Stäubli booth on a demonstration unit.
Stäubli has adapted its range of cam motions to meet the latest requirements. The streamlined series of products now includes the new types 1671/1681/1781. With a high-performance cam-and-lever assembly and a broad range of symmetrical and asymmetrical cams, these advanced machines offer increased flexibility and performance. A cam motion type 1681 will also be demonstrated at the Stäubli booth.
MAGMA T12 warp tying machine
Warp-tying machine MAGMA T12 ties medium to coarse yarn types and is ideal for technical fabrics, which are growing in importance. MAGMA ties monofilaments, coarse multifilaments, PPribbons, bast fibres, coarse staple fibres, and many other fibre types. The machine is equipped with an optical system for double-end detection and has a patented yarn separation system with no need of specific separation needles. For convenient operating and to provide more information about the progress of the tying process, the MAGMA T12 is equipped with a new touch-screen panel.
Besides, MAGMA-proven TOPMATIC is also being demonstrated at the Stäubli booth. This universal warp tying machine stands for highest quality in warp tying over the full range and down to the finest threads. The various TOPMATIC models are equipped with the unique electronic double end detection that prevents tying of double ends also when tying flat sheets.
ALPHA 400 series
The ALPHA 400 series of carpet-weaving machines has proved its success with many customers who use it to efficiently produce area rugs and wall-to-wall carpeting for the residential, contract, and transportation sectors. Available in five configurations and featuring state-of-the-art technology, the ALPHA 400 produces carpets in excellent qualities and impressive patterns at outstanding production rates.
The new Multi Weft Selector adds even more flexibility to the machine. It allows insertion of up to six plus six different weft yarns in the same fabric. This offers many new possibilities for designers and carpet weavers to create and produce new carpet qualities. Any ALPHA 400 machine can be upgraded by adding the Multi Weft Selector.
At India ITME Schönherr will present top-quality area rugs with very high reed densities produced on ALPHA 400 machines.
