Statex Engineering, headquartered in Coimbatore, is considered a front-runner in the field of compact yarn and fiber testing instruments. The company has also been creating a lot of buzz in the industry through its expertise in the compact spinning technology. Statex showcases the latest version of its popular ‘Summit’ Compact machine at ITME 2016.
Speaking about the company’s participation in ITME 2016, Mr. K. Subramaniam said: “ITME is definitely the premier event for the textile industry in India. It gives us a great opportunity to meet potential customers from India as well as abroad. This is the 8th time we are participating in the event.”
Apart from its Summit Compact machine, the company also showcases the latest versions of its fully automatic high volume tester (VEGUAM) and evenness tester. “Our target visitors are mostly going to be from India. We are already an established name in India. The event gives us an opportunity to further strengthen our position”, stated Mr. Subramaniam when asked about the kind of visitors they are planning to meet at the event.
Talking about the strengths of the company, Mr. K. Subramaniam said: “Quality is definitely one of our key strengths. We also take pride in our technical service support back-up. Plus, all our machines are designed to reduce the running cost, power cost, as well as the labor cost.”
Continuing further, Mr. Subramaniam said: “Consistent R&D efforts have been one of our strong points over the years. This strong focus on R&D enables us to frequently come out with new products.”
Statex Engineering has 250 staff members. The company’s after-sales team consists of 15 service engineers who are based out of various locations such as Gujarat, Maharashtra and Punjab.
Commenting on the current business scenario, Mr. Subramaniam said: “2016 has been good so far. We have enough orders. While there seems to be a mild slowdown in recent months, we expect things to pick up after Diwali. Currently, we have a turnover of around Rs. 15 crores and we intend to double it in the next financial year.”
The company, which has crossed the milestone of 30 years in 2016, is planning to expand its manufacturing facility in the near future.
