Next year in 2005, they started representing another top subsidiary of Rieter- Novibra; world’s leading supplier of high-speed spindles based in Czech Republic. Spintech Associates proudly dominating the market with enormous 80% market shares in the high-end segments by offering top class spindle & spindle maintenance machines for the textile market. In the same year 2005; Spintech Associates also become the agent of Groz-Beckert Card Clothing and till date they have captured 25% market shares due to their top notch technology.
Later in 2009, Spintech Associates started representing Suessen; another subsidiary of Rieter which offers competitive solutions on compacting systems for both rotor and ring spinning machines. Its innovative product portfolio is tailored to customer requirements. From their sales over 2 (two) million spindles are right now in operations in the market acquiring 30% market shares in these special segments.
Success story of Spintech Associates Ltd. derived from the highly skilled, trained professional’s team leading by Mr. Anisur Rahman (Managing Director) who was graduated from BUTEX (Bangladesh University of Textiles) in 1994. In exclusive interview of Mr. Anisur Rahman, he mentioned two biggest challenges of Bangladesh textile industry: increasing energy cost and disruption in energy supplies.
“The rising cost of energy is a major concern for textile manufacturers,” explains Mr. Rahman. “Our industry relies heavily on electricity & gas to power machinery for various processes, from spinning to weaving and finishing. Any increase in energy prices significantly impacts production costs, squeezing profit margins and making it difficult to compete in the global market.” -he added.
Beyond cost, Mr. Rahman emphasizes the looming threat of energy security. “The recent power outages and uncertainties surrounding energy availability pose a serious challenge for production continuity,” he says. He also remains optimistic about the future of Bangladesh’s textile industry. “Our industry has faced challenges before and emerged stronger,” he says. He wishes- “By working together, manufacturers, policymakers, and energy providers can find innovative solutions to overcome these obstacles and ensure a sustainable future for Bangladesh’s textile sector.”
