60th JTC
SITRA, one of the premier textile research institutions of the country will be hosting the 60th Joint Technological Conference on the 11th, 12th and 13th of November, 2022. “This is a joint technological conference organized every year by the 4 textile research associations- ATIRA, BTRA, NITRA and SITRA. The conference will take place on the 11th and 12th November, 2022. Research work carried out in these associations are presented during the conference. This is the main objective of the conference. The conference was last held in 2018. There was a break due to the Covid pandemic situation. Hopefully, we are at the end of the pandemic. Everyone at SITRA has put their best step forward to make this event a grand success and a memorable one for the attendees,” stated Dr. Prakash Vasudevan, Director, SITRA, in an exclusive chat.
Throwing light on the topics for deliberations at the conference, he explained:” As mentioned earlier, the research work carried out at the different associations will be presented here. There would be around 17 papers presented at the conference. The participants can look forward to detailed presentations from eminent experts. For example, SITRA works a lot on the spinning sector, as well as on the chemical processes that are involved in textile manufacturing. Then there are the other associations that work in other sectors of conventional as well as technical textiles. The key takeaways for the delegates attending the conference would be the research findings on the projects that have current relevance to the industry”
