As of 2015, SSFC owns three main manufacturing sites in Taiwan covering 426,666 sq. mts., generating a total output of up to 2,535 tons per day. Production plants have also been established in Mainland China and Thailand.

SSFC products can be largely divided into two main categories – polyester fibers and polymers. The company’s main product categories include partially oriented yarn (POY), polyester filament yarn, fully drawn yarn (FDY), polyester staple fiber (PSF), polyester draw textured yarn (P-DTY), industrial yarn, polyester pellets, PET bottle grade resin, PET bottles, PET bottle preforms, engineering polymers, optical films, polyester films, and A-PET sheets.

SSFC’s polymer products account for 55 per cent of its business volume and have exceeded that of its polyester fiber products. Its products have also a wide range of downstream applications like textiles, food, packaging, electronics and optronics industries.

SSFC has been focusing its attention on the development of functional polyester staple fibers in order to meet the different needs for spinning, filling and nonwoven application. As per the market trend it works on outdoor wear and sportswear which are not only for aesthetics, but also for functionality, like wicking, breathing, light warmth, comfort and temperature regulation.

SSFC offers functional polyester staple fibers for applications like cross “X” fiber for working application, big hollow fiber with 20 per cent hollow ratio for light warmth, all function in one 4T fiber, 28 per cent void ratio, giving fast wicking, breathing, comfort, anti-static and excellent temperature regulation, low pilling fiber with excellent pill resistance and the second-to-none wool-like hand.

Currently, SSFC has business co-operation with Indian functional yarn manufacturer RSWM. SSFC also offers solutions for filling or nonwoven application like spiral crimp fiber to offer pliable and rich hand, hollow ratio 24% to 41%, including triangle a hole, squared 4 holes and both mixture. Specially for squared 4 holes fiber, it’s able to apply for foam-like application because of compressible property.
