Textile mills on an average spend 2.5-3 per cent of their annual turnover on spares and accessories and also plough back 4-6 per cent on modernization. Texfair 2013 would be an ideal platform for them to zero in on their requirements, meet all the suppliers under one roof and prudently plan their investments, cut costs and improve the quality of the products they manufacture. The fair would also give an opportunity for textile mills to plan their ongoing and future investments.
Coinciding with Texfair 2013, SIMA is organizing its maiden event SIMA Farm to Finish Expo 2013, a unique fair for Indian textile and clothing products at the same venue. The expo aims at bringing the entire textile value chain across the nation, right from cotton farmers, cottonseed producers, synthetic fibre manufacturers to finished product manufacturers under one roof and showcase their products, innovations and talents. It will also provide an opportunity to all the stakeholders of the textile and clothing industry to meet on a common platform to discuss issues of common interest.
The Indian textile and apparel industry is estimated to grow at 9.5 per cent CAGR to be worth $221 billion by 2021. The domestic T&A market size of $58 billion is expected to grow at 9 per cent CAGR to reach $141 billion by 2021. Coimbatore, being the hub for textile business in the global map and well connected with roads, rail, ports and air, will give enormous opportunities for capturing new markets and buyers.
A unique fair being organized by the oldest and single largest employers’ organization representing the textile industry in south India, the fair would attract all those associated with the textile industry directly or indirectly.
Texfair 2013 and SIMA Farm to Finish Expo 2013 together are expected to attract 75,000 to 1,00,000 Indian and overseas business visitors.
