Salmoiraghi SpA celebrated its 50th anniversary on October 16. The event took place at its Monza headquarters in the presence of over 200 guests.
On the occasion, Sandro Salmoiraghi, President, retraced the history of the company which specialises in automated handling systems for the man-made fibre industry, and also presented a book illustrating the company origin and evolution and also highlighting its design and manufacturing capabilities.
It was also a significant moment for the company for recalling the past half century and also looking at its future goals.
Currently, over 150 Salmoiraghi automation systems are in operation around the world, daily handling more than 1.500.000 man-made yarn bobbins, ensuring high product quality and important cost savings.
These successes were achieved through diligent work, continuous technical innovation and utmost attention paid to clients’ requirements, allowing the company to consolidate its market position in a highly competitive environment.
Notwithstanding many other applications in various industrial fields, automated handling of man-made fibre bobbins constitutes the core business of the company which remains the world market leader in this important sector.
