S.N.N Group, founded by Mr. S.N. Narayanasamy, began its journey in 1989 with poultry farming in Annur, Coimbatore. In 2014, their dream of establishing a spinning mill became a reality with the establishment of S.N.N Textiles. Equipped with LMW’s end-to-end solutions, the mill started with 9,600 spindles and expanded to 18,480 spindles. Today, the group has an impressive total installed capacity of 380 looms, producing 2.0 to 2.5 lakh meters of cloth per day.
According to Mr. Nithyanandhan, MD of S.N.N. Tulasi Narayana Spinners (P) Ltd, “When we embarked on our spinning venture, LMW was the only partner that came to our minds. LMW machines offer high productivity, consistent quality, and exceptional support from their personnel and channel partners.”
In 2021, S.N.N Group decided to establish a modernized spinning unit, S.N.N. Tulasi Narayana Spinners (P) Ltd, with 27,360 spindles for producing combed compact fine yarns. The outstanding performance of LMW machines and their dedicated real-time support were instrumental in selecting LMW’s smart end-to-end solutions for this modernized unit.
The first phase of the project, comprising 18,240 spindles, was successfully completed, operating 10 units of Compact Ring Frame LRJ 9 AXL – 1824 spindles, supported by smart preparatory machines. The plant runs smoothly with a workforce of 87 employees (16 personnel per shift). The second phase, with 9,120 spindles, is scheduled for completion soon.
Mr. Nithyanandhan states, “With LMW machines, running the plant profitably is effortless, as they offer high efficiency and quality output. Compared to our first plant in 2014, LMW has modernized their solutions with the latest automation and technologies, providing higher productivity and excellent quality.”
The LMW Ring Frame LRJ 9 AXL operates at a maximum speed of 25,000 rpm, achieving an industry benchmark production rate of 87 GPS (Grams Per Spindle) in Ne 61s CCW counts with consistent quality. The yarn realization rate is approximately 76%. Mr. Nithyanandhan’s goal is to reach 100 GPS.
The high productivity is achieved with lower UKG, and the delivered yarn exhibits excellent quality, as evident by the performance of post-spinning machines, high-speed looms running at 1100 PPM, and warping machines running at 900 MPM.
Mr. Anandakumar, Asst. General Manager, expresses his satisfaction with the performance of LMW machines, describing them as reliable, highly productive, and of superior quality. Technicians find the smart machines low-maintenance and easy to operate. He adds, “Our success mantra is ‘What Next’ Thinking. We follow a systematic approach to everything and prioritize machine hygiene.”
In a competitive world, automation is the key to success, and Mr. Nithyanandhan expects cost-competitive automation in all LMW machinery, including auto piecing for the Ring Frame, accompanied by prompt after-sales support and spares execution.
Apart from remarkable growth in the spinning business, the SNN Group has achieved success in diversified sectors like poultry farming and private education.
LMW’s state-of-the-art smart solutions for spinning success, coupled with a culture of innovation, empower mills with technological and competitive advantages through mission-critical automation, real-time data and analytics, compatibility with all applications, and consistent performance under diverse operating conditions.
