Rimtex retains market leadership in sliver cans

Rimtex is a name synonymous with sliver cans in India and in all major textile markets across the globe. The company is indeed the market leader in sliver cans and material handling business.

Rimtex Industries started manufacturing spinning cans in 1992 and presented its first spinning can at ITMA in 1992. Since then, the company has been on a growth trajectory launching new products and technologies and keeping pace with the industry requirements. Currently, its full-version spinning cans and accessories are exported to more than 40 countries.

Rimtex expanded over the years and became the only company to manufacture the complete range of spinning cans and all accessories under one roof. Rimtex today is the first choice for customers who are looking for high quality and longer life products. In India more than 60 per cent seamless HDPE spinning cans used are from Rimtex.

Rimtex offers a range of products, including sliver handling systems, material handling systems, spinning rings & ring travellers, castor wheels and contamination-controlled cotton. The company has five manufacturing facilities for various products and brands. Its cans & trolleys are sold under the brand Rimtex and castor wheels under the brand Kalpar. All the products are manufactured in-house.

Having achieved success in sliver cans business, Rimtex launched the X-Axis brand of rings and travellers seven years ago. The Rimtex Group has manufactured rings and travellers for over 50 years.

The X-Axis is a new technology product with highly advanced models for options to the spinners. It was more a re-launch of the product with a more aggressive brand. The company is mainly catering to the market looking to improve the efficiency overall of spinning. It has given the spinning industry a new platform to judge a product – output consistency and longevity (OCL).

Enterprising global spinners and OEMs who have checked the performance and numbers have opted for the X-axis rings and travellers.

Rimtex is also in the fibre business producing a special type of contamination-controlled cotton with a minimum amount of trash level in the brand name of CULTON which is equipped with the most modern machineries and testing equipments. It is using a modern clearing machine to reduce the contamination level to the minimum and is also providing the bale-to-bale test report of all the parameters of cotton.

The total system of material suction, feeding to the gin, pre-opening, cleaning, contamination cleaning, baling and packing is totally automatic and online.

Rimtex has also taken utmost care to ensure that the material is packed in the best possible way, so that it is not damaged at all in transit.

The company employs over 500 persons across its five manufacturing facilities. It keeps working on improving the product range, the product quality and performance and the life of its products to fulfill the company objective of “Let’s Promote Quality”.

“We are working on improving the sliver quality. We are developing some more innovations and variants. All the technology has been developed completely in-house”, says Mr. Gaurav Parmar, Director.

The company expects 2012-13 to be a better year and the Indian market would recover by the second half of the year.
