The Coimbatore-based Reshmi Industries has, through its sustained focus on R&D and commitment to quality, been able to acquire a distinct space for itself in the textile industry. The company, one among the industry leaders in the post-spinning winding technology, will join the upcoming Texfair 2017 event in Coimbatore to showcase its latest innovative products.
In an exclusive chat, Mr. Vishnu Sajan, the company’s Director – Marketing, stated that 2016-17 has been a great year for the company. “We have been constantly moving towards our goal of introducing fully automatic sewing thread winders, and our plan to launch them this year has been successful. We have also seen considerable growth over the last year.”
Reshmi Industries recently handed over its 1,00,000th drum winder to Sangam, the flagship company of the Sangam Group and a leading manufacturer of PV yarn in India. “As a token of appreciation, we have handed over a gold drum as memento to Sangam, with which we share an excellent rapport,” he said.
The company also launched a fully automatic dual drive tube winding machine and a fully automatic cone winding machine. Going into details, Mr. Sajan said: “The market feedback has been great so far. We have received good response from our customers from India as well as overseas.”
Expressing satisfaction over the company’s recent performance, he remarked: “We have been witnessing constant growth in sales of all our winders not only in the Indian market but overseas as well.”
Looking into the future, Mr. Sajan expects the Indian market to pick up in the next quarter. The company has been focusing on expanding its business in key overseas markets. It currently exports its products to 25 countries.
Fully confident about the prospects of the market picking up in the future, Mr. Sajan said: “Though there has been a slowdown due to Government policy changes, we are sure that the Indian market will improve in the second half. I personally believe that the Indian textile market will do well in the coming years. We feel that automation in the textile industry is key to productivity.”
The company is all set to showcase some of its new products at Texfair like the auto doffing mechanism of its random assembly winders/soft package winders.
Reshmi Industries has added a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility recently, spread across two floors, with the ground floor being used for manufacturing drum winding and sewing thread machines and the first exclusively meant for production of precision type machines.
The company is also ready with its unique, exclusive showroom in its factory premises. This is perhaps a first-of-its-kind showroom where the customers can even run trials of the company products.
Concluding on a positive note, Mr. Sajan observed that the company has been constantly working towards adding new customers overseas. Having tied up with many overseas agents, he hopes that the next year will see further improvement in overseas sales.
