Aspire Grand Excel Automation has emerged as a top name in spinning automation in recent times. The company, with its headquarters in Coimbatore, offers a quality range of products including Aspire Excel Auto doffers, Excelspin Suction Compact system, Bobbin transport system and Auto cone packing system. In an exclusive chat, PN. Santhanakkhrishnen and PM. Ayaaswaamy, Directors and Partners of the company, gave detailed insights into their journey in the Bangladesh market.
Delving on the company’s entry into the market, Santhanakkhrishnen mentioned that Aspire Grand Excel Automation was established in November 2009. “After establishing and stabilizing a market for our retrofit auto doffers in India for 5 years and completion of over 3 lakh spindles, we started exploring the Bangladesh market in 2014, “he said.
“There is no doubt that Bangladesh is a huge market and the customers here have been very welcoming of our products. From our experience we have found that the customers here, when they are satisfied with your product, they tend to recommend it to their friends. This way we have got excellent word-of-mouth in the market,” he added.
The company’s first customer was M/s Sohagpur Textiles of Purbhani group where it started with retrofit on a globally leading ring frame brand. “A few further visits and we realized that there is good potential for retrofitting on Chinese ring frames. We got our first such opportunity with M/s CRC Textile Mills. We will be forever indebted to Mr. Sukumar Roy, the company’s Managing Director for giving us an opportunity to develop an auto doffer for a leading Chinese ring frame machine,” Santhanakkhrishnen, said. “We have successfully completed 63 ring frames in CRC Group alone.
There has been no looking back for the company ever since and added more customers. We are thankful to all our customers for giving us an opportunity and recommending our product to others,” he continued.
According to Santhanakkhrishnen the company has completed over 2.5 lakhs spindles in the Bangladesh market. Some of its leading customers include top names such as Sohagpur Textiles, CRC Textile Mills, Multazim Group, Square Textiles Ltd, Shiplu Textile Mills Limited, Square Fashion Yarns Limted, SBS Textiles, Saiham Spinning Mills and Armada Spinning Mills limited.
Adding further he said,” We take pride in the fact that we are a leading auto doffer retrofit brand in Bangladesh and very confident of adding to our customer list exponentially in the future.”
Competitive edge
According to Ayaaswaamy flexibility and swiftness in design are two factors which has resulted in the company’s success in Bangladesh. “Additionally our products are very easy to handle and operate. Our after sales support is also top notch. No wonder our products are in demand,” he added.
The company’s products are represented in the Bangladesh market by (1) Unitex Corporation, headed by Mr. Biddut Saha and (2) AR Tex Solutions, headed by Mr. Md Ashik Chowdhury. As part of its Bangladesh focus, the company has also been participation in the DTG Exhibition for the past two years.
Santhanakkhrishnen said that the company’s products add to the sustainability quotient of any textile mill. “Our machines are energy efficient and require minimal maintenance,” he said before adding that the company’s products are also playing a key role in automation. “Labor is getting expensive in Bangladesh also. Now, our auto doffer can be operated by just two Doffing workers, instead of the usual eight for about 10 machines. This is a whopping 75% reduction in doffing manpower, while also increasing the efficiency at the same time. This is an unbeatable combination you get with our products,” he pointed out.
Future plans
Both the partners are optimistic of the company’s continued good showing in the Bangladesh market. “The growth of the Bangladesh market is there for all to see. We are excited about our future here. We will be launching our Bobbin Transport System (BTS) and Autocone Packing System soon here. We have been getting a good number of enquiries for these products. So far as auto doffers are concerned we should be reaching another 2 lakh spindles in a couple of years’ time, “said Santhanakkhrishnen
“We have a very positive outlook on the prospects of the market. It will continue to grow and we will leverage our expertise to make further inroads into what is one of the most important textile industry hub now in the world,” said Ayaaswaamy rounding off the interaction.
