Ramatex places massive order for 100 FONG’S fabric dyeing machines

Ramatex, a world-renowned and vertically integrated manufacturer of textiles and garments, has placed a major order for a hundred FONG’s TEC series fabric dyeing machines to be installed at multiple sites in both Malaysia and China by the end of this year.

FONGS-JumboTec3-4T-picRamatex was first established in 1976 under Gimmill Industrial Pte in Singapore. To date, Ramatex has extended its operational base across Asia, with three fabric mills and 13 apparel factories spreading over Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia and China to reinforce its capabilities across apparel manufacturing functions. The company is striving for technological upgradation to meet the ongoing demand of green production. FONG’S has been recognized by it as a reliable and capable partner for supply of state-of-the-art dyeing machines.

FONG’S Group believes that this significant order coming in its 50th Anniversary year further endorses its strategy of one-stop GREEN solution.

In 1990, the Ramatex Group took the decision to provide a vertically integrated service. This led to the formation of Ramatex Textiles Industrial in Malaysia. Through its sustained programme of investment in technology, manpower and training, Ramatex has earned worldwide reputation for quality and on-time delivery.

Today, this vertical integration helps Ramatex strengthen its apparel production capabilities, offer customers integrated textile solutions and control the entire manufacturing process from spinning, knitting, dyeing and printing to garment export.

Further, Ramatex has taken care to ensure its manufacturing processes embrace environmental protection, create a more sustainable approach to high-quality production by minimizing energy consumption, adopting waste & water recycling and by using only organic materials and approved chemical dyes.

Since the release of the ‘Dirty Laundry’ report by the international environmental campaign group Greenpeace, six of the world’s leading brands have publicly committed themselves to the goal of eliminating hazardous chemicals through the joint roadmap ‘Towards Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals’. Though the implementation poses significant challenges due to the complexities in the textile supply chain, Ramatex was among the first textile manufacturers announcing its commitment to meet the challenge.

Ramatex has a socially responsible approach to manufacturing and is committed to embracing environmental standards as a core part of its manufacturing processes. This allows it to create a more realistic approach to quality production by minimizing energy use, adopting waste & water recycling and by using only approved chemicals and dyes.
