Rajshree Fabrics, a leading manufacturer of nonwoven fabrics, has expanded its expertise from producing high-performance materials to offering a diverse range of consumer products. Specializing in spunbond, meltblown, and functional nonwoven fabrics, the company has ventured into converting these fabrics into essential items such as absorbent socks, N95 face masks, disposable bedsheets, and more.
With an impressive growth trajectory since its inception in 2006, Rajshree Fabrics, founded by brothers Mr. Abhinav Kansal and Mr. Harsh Kansal, continues to lead innovation in nonwoven technology and consumer solutions.
Expanding Capabilities:
From Packaging to Medical and Hygiene Sectors, Rajshree Fabrics began its journey in 2006 with a single spunbond nonwoven production line and a modest capacity of 300 tons per month, primarily serving the packaging industry. Over the past 18 years, the company has significantly expanded, now operating five Ricofil nonwoven production machines, boosting its capacity to an impressive 2,400 tons of nonwoven fabrics per month.
Mr. Abhinav Kansal, Co-founder of Rajshree Fabrics, elaborated on their growth: “The latest addition to our production capabilities is a five-beam SSMMS line, primarily focused on producing nonwoven fabrics for the medical and hygiene sectors. These fabrics are used in products like sanitary napkins, diapers, and medical gowns, addressing the increasing demand for high-performance hygiene products.”
This expansion into medical and hygiene applications is a natural progression for Rajshree Fabrics, reflecting their ability to meet the growing global demand for safe and hygienic materials. Their focus on quality and innovation allows them to cater to various industries, including healthcare, personal care, and packaging.
Mr. Kansal shared. “By venturing into the hygiene sector, we are not only expanding our product range but also adding more value to the fabrics we produce. This will allow us to offer a complete package of solutions to our customers in the medical and hygiene industries.”
This expansion is a testament to Rajshree Fabrics’ commitment to continuous innovation and its ability to anticipate market needs. By producing these high-demand hygiene products, the company aims to further cement its leadership in the nonwoven fabrics industry.
Value-Added Consumer Products:
Rajshree Fabrics ventured into converting its nonwoven fabrics into finished consumer products, starting with nonwoven bags. Over time, the company has broadened its product offerings and today produces a wide range of items including absorbent socks, absorbent pillows, 3-layer surgical masks, N95 nonwoven face masks, disposable bedsheets, buffant caps, and shopping bags.
“We initially installed a single offset printing machine for printing on nonwoven bags. Today, we operate nine offset printing machines and have invested in various machinery to convert our fabrics into multiple consumer products,” Mr. Kansal explained.
This shift has allowed Rajshree Fabrics to add considerable value to its core nonwoven materials, providing complete solutions to its customers by not only supplying raw materials but also delivering finished, ready-to-use products.
Specialized Functional Finishes:
A key differentiator for Rajshree Fabrics lies in its ability to produce nonwoven fabrics with specialized functional finishes that enhance performance in specific applications. The company offers a wide range of functional nonwoven fabrics, including; Anti-microbial nonwoven fabrics, UV-treated nonwoven fabrics, Anti-static nonwoven fabrics, Laminated nonwoven fabrics and Hydrophilic and hydrophobic nonwoven fabrics
By offering these advanced finishes, Rajshree Fabrics meets the needs of industries such as healthcare, hygiene, and packaging, where performance and safety are critical.
“Our focus has always been on ensuring that our fabrics meet the highest standards of quality. Whether it’s anti-microbial properties for medical use or UV-treated fabrics for outdoor applications, we ensure our products are tailored to meet the specific requirements of each industry,” Mr. Kansal emphasized.
Overcoming Export Challenges: Building a Global Presence
Rajshree Fabrics has also made strides in the export market. Over the last six years, the company has been exporting nonwoven bags and hygiene fabrics to several countries, and exports now account for 10% of its revenues.
However, Mr. Kansal acknowledged the logistical challenges they face due to their location in the northern state of Himachal Pradesh. “Being based in Himachal Pradesh poses logistical challenges when exporting to various countries. Despite these hurdles, we have maintained a strong focus on customer satisfaction and timely deliveries, which has helped us build a reputation in international markets,” he noted.
Despite these challenges, Rajshree Fabrics is committed to expanding its global reach and increasing its export volumes in the coming years.
A Commitment to Innovation, Quality, and Growth
Rajshree Fabrics’ remarkable growth from a small-scale nonwoven fabric manufacturer to a leader in both nonwoven fabrics and consumer products is a testament to its focus on quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction. As the company looks to the future, its expansion into hygiene products and continued focus on functional finishes, positions it well to meet the evolving needs of global markets. With a steadfast commitment to delivering high-quality products and maintaining customer trust, Rajshree Fabrics is poised for continued success in the years to come.
