THE GAURS, a key player in introducing innovative technology to Indian dye houses, will be showcasing sustainable dyeing and processing machinery at the ITM Istanbul 2024. Representing manufacturers from Germany, Italy, Sweden, Turkey, Switzerland, and Taiwan, THE GAURS offers a wide range of advanced machinery across the dyeing and finishing process.
Founded 14 years ago, THE GAURS aimed to bring cutting-edge European technology to India and surrounding regions. They provide Indian dye houses with sustainable dyeing, processing, and finishing machines that consume fewer utilities, require less space, and are environmentally friendly. These machines have significantly improved customers’ manufacturing operations, offering faster returns on investment compared to traditional machinery.
Initially, THE GAURS focused on promoting calender rolls, rubber rolls, and special nonwoven-based squeeze rolls. Today, they offer end-to-end machinery solutions for dye houses, including fabric preparation and pre-treatment lines, various dyeing technologies, heat setting and finishing machines, calender machines, coating and laminating machines, and complete lines for manufacturing technical textiles. THE GAURS now serves customers in India and Sri Lanka.
Growth of the Indian Textile Industry
Commenting on the growth prospects of the Indian textile industry, THE GAURS’ management stated, “We can confidently say that the India growth story in textiles is intact. India now has a chance to expand and outgrow other markets globally. We can be the leaders in sustainable technologies and set a benchmark for sustainable manufacturing, provided we are ready to open our minds and accept progressive technologies. Global brands are already pushing fabric manufacturers to go sustainable. Simply installing solar power plants and ZLD is not enough; these have become the need of the hour.”
They added, “The fundamental question dye house owners need to ask themselves is: What is my value proposition? What makes me stand out from my peers? Those who invest in adopting sustainable textile manufacturing technologies will benefit from lower emissions, reduced utility consumption, and less water usage, ultimately growing stronger. THE GAURS have the required machinery and solutions to help dye houses achieve these objectives and targets.”
Future Plans
Looking ahead, THE GAURS is committed to providing low-energy, sustainable, and next-generation dyeing and finishing machinery to fabric dye houses. “We are offering disruptive technology and machinery that reduce utilities, steam, and electricity costs in fabric manufacturing, ultimately lowering the cost of fabric dyeing and processing,” the management explained. “Various countries globally are gearing up to allow imports of only sustainable textiles, and we are innovating at the back-end to deliver the results. Indian factory owners must re-evaluate their machinery and plant investments to meet the sustainability demands of their fabric buyers. The future looks promising, and it is an exciting time for all of us as we are at the cusp of a significant change sweeping the world,” they concluded.
