It has also added a wide range of fabric processing machines like stenters, after the acquisition of the famous SM based in Baroda. Himson’s productline is widely acknowledged in the domestic market for its outstanding performance, low power consumption, minimal maintenance cost, easy operations, high efficiency and robust construction. Moreover, clients can avail these machines of various specifications & configurations at industry-leading prices.

Since inception, the company has worked closely with its customers to better understand and satisfy industry needs. The research intensive nature adopted by the Bachkaniwalas has helped it grow and develop a wide range of weaving accessories and spareparts addressing the needs of customers using high-end imported materials.

At the GTTES show, The Textile Magazine got a chance to interact with the Bachkaniwala’s of Palod Himson. Said Mr. Pratik Bachkaniwala: “In the first 6 months of 2014, the industry was very dull, but the second half of the year has been very good. Our weaving accessories division and also our processing business picked up to an extent. West and North are the main growth drivers for our business.”

Even though the weaving accessories division only contributes to 20% of the company’s toplines, Mr. Pratik Bachkaniwala feels there is great potential in the future for this division. The company successfully commissioned 18 projects within the processing vertical in 2014. The biggest of the installations was for Aditya Birla Nuvo at its Indian Rayon plant. Himsons saw a growth of 15% in 2014 in their sales figures and are hoping for a similar result in 2015.

As for the response at the Mumbai show, he said: “Our stall at this first edition of GTTES received a good number of quality customers. The infrastructure is top-notch and an highly professional touch is seen in all their activities. Overall I would say the show is an outstanding success for ITME Society”, said Mr. Rajnikant Bachkaniwala.
