Pandemic Impact
The pandemic affected the company just like other manufacturing companies with massive increase in raw material cost and availability challenges across the globe. According to the company, availability of raw material against the requirement still remains a big challenge, a factor which has affected the company’s production capacity. The government has recently announced the production linked incentive (PLI) scheme for textiles, aimed at giving fillip to the MMF segment. P.A.R.K feels that the Indian government along with state governments has come out with pretty decent incentives and subsidies for the technical textile sector under the scheme. According to the company, at present under the PLI scheme the major benefits are for those investing above Rs 300 crore and believes that the figure should come down to Rs 50 crore.
Competitive Edge
The company is operating in one of the most competitive market segments, globally and in India. However, there are certain factors that give the company a competitive edge.
