Picanol India recently held a seminar at Chandigarh on its latest offerings to the textile industry. Aimed at sharing knowledge and technical know-how with customers to attain increased productivity and better product efficiency, the seminar was a big success.
Mr. P. Kasiviswanathan, Executive Director, Picanol India Private Ltd., inaugurated the seminar by highlighting the importance of cutting-edge technology not just for survival and growth of the current generation but for a better tomorrow.
He said: “Meeting customer expectations is what our business is all about, from the preparation of the next new machine to be delivered and through upgrades and services for the thousands of machines already in day-to-day operation worldwide. Our support is purely aimed at establishing quality and efficient fabric production for the customer with the lowest possible energy consumption.”
At the customer networking session, Picanol assured its customers of excellent after-sales and service. A highly experienced team from Belgium was present at the seminar to answer the several questions from customers and also to collect their valuable feedback.
The R&D cell at Picanol is kept attuned to market needs. A team of researchers keeps experimenting with fresh ideas and technologies. Making a significant breakthrough in weaving technology, improving efficiency, enhancing performance and understanding contemporary fibres and sustainable solutions for the future are the major endeavour at its ultra-modern facility at Ypres, Belgium.
In the second part of the program, Mr. Lieven Engelbeen, Sales Manager of Picanol NV Belgium, highlighted the salient features of the new rapier loom OptiMax-i launched at ITMA Milan.
The aftermarket team, headed by Mrs. Katelijne Goethals, and her Indian team member Mr. Dharmendra Verma, explained how the well-organised spareparts department excelled in product delivery.
The Picanol India team was quite happy with the response received at the networking session. More than 100 customers from Chandigarh and Ludhiana, who attended the event, hailed the efforts made by the top-level management to address the current issues. Also, customers felt adequately educated on the latest offerings to the weaving fraternity that could help them save energy and to increase product efficiency.
