Established in 1992, Nitin Spinners Limited, headquartered in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, is one of the leading manufacturers of cotton yarn, knitted fabrics, greige and finished woven fabrics.
The company has an annual spinning capacity of 70,000 tons of yarns, while in the case of knitted fabric it is 6300 MTPA and woven fabric 30 million MTPA. The company also has woven dyeing and finishing capacity.
Nitin Spinners’ key product range includes hosiery & polyester cotton yarn, woven yarns for woven apparels & knitted apparels, denims, furnishing fabrics, medicated fabrics, knitted fabrics, woven dyed & finished fabrics, and printed fabrics.
According to Mr. Nitin Nolakha, Executive Director of the company, Nitin Spinners’ annual cotton consumption is 80,000 tons, out of which 70,000 tons is Indian cotton and the rest 10,000 tons is imported. 3000 tons out of the total imported cotton is U.S. cotton.
“The initial trigger of using imported cotton was supplying contamination free yarn to our buyers. We have been buying U.S cotton since 2001,” Mr. Nolakha said.
Nitin Spinners is specialized in contamination free yarn, S twist, compact yarn, slub yarn, core spun yarn, Eli twist yarn and Supima cotton yarns. In woven finished fabrics, the company offers special finishes like airo finish, bio polish, water repellent, nano care, soil release, micro sanding, anti bacteria, wrinkle free, stain guard, moisture management, etc. Nitin Spinners also offers eco sustainable yarns and fabrics made from organic and BCI cotton. The company offers 100% Cotton and Polyester Cotton yarns from count range 6 to 24 in open end and 10 to 100 in Ring Spun, single and multifold Knitted Fabrics in various structures in 100% cotton and Blends, Grey, Finished and Printed woven Fabrics in 100 % cotton and blends in various structures.
Nitin Spinners has been accredited with comprehensive quality certification ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14000 & ISO 50001, OSHAS, SA 8000 and also certified by OEKOTEX Class I, GOTS, OCS for Organic Cotton, BCI, SUPIMA, Cotton USA.
Commenting on the advantage gained by the company by offering yarn or fabric manufactured using U.S cotton, Mr. Nolakha mentioned: “Satisfying the customers by completing their product basket of contamination free yarns and fabrics.”
Elaborating on the impact of Covid-19 on cotton sourcing, Mr. Nolakha said: “The fashion segment has taken a significant beating. People are afraid to visit stores and their inclination towards buying fabrics has reduced.”
Mr. Nolakha feels that the demand now was more for fabrics for leisure and comfort wear and medical textiles like masks, hospital uniforms and medical accessories.
