Nestling Technologies stands for creating elegance in fabrics at Texfair – 2024

Nestling Technologies is considered a leading manufacturer and exporter of cotton contamination clearer. The Coimbatore-based company has also made rapid inroads into the market with its Revolutionised spindle monitoring system.

S. Chandrasekaran, Managing Director, Nestling Technologies

We caught up with Chandrasekaran, Managing Director of the company at their booth for an exclusive chat. “This is the 6th time that Nestling is participating in Texfair. “ This is a very important fair for this brings together different stakeholders under a single roof. Plus the fact that traditionally Coimbatore has been a key hub for textiles, makes this a key event. Participating in this fair has got its own value,” he said.

“The company’s focus in this edition of Texfair is to raise awareness about creating purity in cotton and dignity in threads since Nestling stands for the philosophy of creating elegance in the fabric. The outcome i.e., the final fabric should be very elegant. In order to do that we need to some backward processes, “he said.

He further added that the company has been doing a lot of R&D on ensuring that it brings a lot of innovation at the raw material stage itself and create certain values in the bale, by removing not only the contaminants but also other impurities like trash, micro dust etc.

“We need to create certain value for the spinners in two aspects- productivity and quality. Only then we can ensure that the fabric made out of this kind of yarn will be elegant. As part of our philosophy we believe that impurities lead to a lot of environmental and health issues and we need to make an effort to avoid them,” he added.

Chandrasekaran also added that gone are the days when customers would buy anything that is sold in the market.” These days customers are very aware. The days will come when customers will want to know whether the fabric they are buying is made up of ‘purified cotton’ or ‘dignified yarn’. The branding would go in that line. Customers now understand the importance of quality. There is a need to preserve the original characteristics of cotton. We at Nestling feel that it is our responsibility to bring this awareness across the textile value chain,” he explained.

Diagnostic approach

Speaking about the intense competition prevailing in the market, Chandrasekaran said that Nestling doesn’t see anyone as a competitor. “As I mentioned earlier, we have a unique approach. We appreciate anyone who is doing something good for the textile industry. Having said that if you were to look at what we offer, all our product line is customizable. We don’t follow the one-size-fits all approach. We first study each customer’s specific requirements, then organize things before executing the final installation,” he mentioned.

“This way we are concentrating not only on the present, but also foresee the future requirements of the customers. We call this a diagnostic approach. The approach has served us well and has helped us expand our global footprint. As of now we are exporting to Egypt, Turkey, Indonesia, Vietnam, Bangladesh and Uzbekistan,” he pointed out.

“Although the going has been tough in recent times, but we cannot expect the graph to always go upwards. There will be upheavals. We are optimistic that the industry will bounce back and it will be business as usual soon,” he said in conclusion.
