In partnership with its Indian representative A.T.E., Monforts is to hold a one hour live Webinar on the latest solutions available for the coating and finishing of technical textiles and nonwovens.
It is aimed both at India’s existing technical textiles manufacturers who are looking to modernise or expand their options, and also at new players seeking to enter the business, in order to benefit from the many new market opportunities that now exist and are growing rapidly.
The Webinar will take place on October 21st at 3 pm IST (Indian Standard Time), and is free to attend. It will be broadcast live from the Monforts Advanced Technology Centre in Germany.
Technical textiles are extremely diverse in their end-use applications and the products already manufactured by Monforts customers range from substrates for digitally printed soft signage to those for high-performance composites. Others include airbags, automotive interior components, flame retardant barriers, filter media, geotextiles, heavy duty membranes, mattresses, and even base liners for sensor-packed dye sensitive solar cells.
All of these very different materials require expert coating and finishing for maximum efficiency, using Monforts technologies which provide the ultimate in flexibility and the ability to switch quickly from one fabric run to the next – without compromising on the economical use of energy or raw materials.
Opportunities
The Indian markets for technical textiles and nonwovens are predicted to rise rapidly in the coming years, and while the global textile fashion industry has been left reeling by the Covid-19 pandemic this year, the usefulness of technical textiles and nonwovens has become clearer than ever.
“Due to the extraordinary circumstances of 2020, many of India’s textile manufacturers have already become aware of new opportunities, not least in the expanded demand for face masks, protective suits and gowns and other items of PPE,” says Jürgen Hanel, Monforts, Head of Technical Textiles.
Solutions
“We will be talking about concrete solutions and potential alternatives to existing product ranges for which there may be less demand, because the retail fashion sector has been hit so hard,” adds Monforts Head of Denim Finishing Hans Wroblowski. “Our technology portfolio allows users to be extremely versatile and to respond quickly to market demand, while also allowing very short production runs.”
