It’s a 4-year dream for the global textile industry which finally came true at Milan. ITMA 2015 was a grand success, surpassing all expectations. The numbers speak for themselves. 123,000 visitors from 147 countries. What was really satisfying was that the largest contingent came from India with more than 10,000 industry professionals attending the show. This clearly demonstrates the upbeat sentiments in the Indian market to expand textile manufacturing in the country.

MAKE-IN-INDIA, the cover feature of The Textile Magazine ITMA special edition, complemented this massive Indian participation. This special edition, which was printed at Milan and distributed at the show, clearly shared the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make India a super textile power. The magazine was well received by both the global and Indian textile industry professionals at this very important show.

The Textile Magazine shares the success of ITMA as we took the bold decision of printing our magazine in Milan, 10,000 of them, for distribution at the show. Our intention was to showcase the Indian textile industry and its stakeholders and to ensure that it drew the attention of the global community.

We didn’t stop there. ITMA is a show which only a fortunate few from all over the world get to visit. Hence our team of reporters and photographers worked day and night for 9 days along with the back-end team in India to provide our readers the world over a glimpse of all the action, everyday of the show. We thank Brückner for partnering with us in this initiative to bring out a daily Newsletter which helped textile industry professionals benefit from it.

The figures speak for themselves. Our website www.indiantextilemagazine.in averaged more than 30,000 hits every day from 125 countries worldwide. We used the opportunity to provide good visibility to every brand and every company we worked with.

Our promotions for ITMA started as early as November 2014, through our pre-ITMA newsletters and through our print magazine and websites. Today, when we look back it has been a very satisfying effort and gives the entire team a sense of satisfaction that we have done our bit towards the success of this important global show.

As we always say, this is just the beginning, and there is more to come. The year 2016 promises to be another important one, and readers can look forward to more news, more updates and more innovation, all at your fingertips.
