Production Capacity &

Expansion Plans

The total production capacity of Banswaraas on 31st March, 2016 for yarn production is 1,51,672 ring spindles including 21,120 spindles for worsted yarn spinning and 592 air jet spindles, 368 shuttle less looms, 34 air Jet jacquard looms, 8 stenters with processing capacity of 5 million mtrs. per month and 3.82 lakh pieces of garments per month.

Banswara produces blends of viscose staple fibre, polyester staple fibre, acrylic staple fibre, lycra, cotton, linen and wool yarn. The company has yarn production capacity of 35,460 tons per annum which includes 33,300 tons of polyester blended dyed yarns and 2,160 tons – wool mix yarn.

Banswara produces premium quality high performance Textile wear finished fabric. The company manufactures 3 mn mts p.m. of suiting fabric for Domestic & Exports Markets.

Banswara has its garmenting unit in Daman and Surat SEZ. The company specialises in Trousers, Jackets and Waist Coat. Banswara has established manufacturing capacity of 3, 45, 000 pieces per month of Trousers and Suiting and 37, 500 pieces of Jackets and Waist Coats. The company has 2 thermal power plants with capacity of 33 MW.

Financial Performance

Banswara’s net income from operations during 2015-16 has been Rs. 1,265 crores as against Rs. 1,226 crores during 2014-15. Net profit was Rs. 27.20 crores.

Exports

Export turnover of the company has been Rs. 580 crores as against Rs. 526 crores in 2014-15. The share of export turnover in the net income has increased from 43% in 2014-15 to 46% during 2015-16.

Future Focus

Banswara’s future growth is built on two parallel growth drivers viz., domestic consumption of fabric & garments and large global opportunities in textiles & clothing. For the FY 2016-17, the estimated total revenue of the company is expected to be Rs. 1350 crores, which is about 6.70% higher than the actual for the year 2015-16.  The company is focused towards increase in sales of value-added products in yarn, fabric and readymade garments.
