The company is focused on ushering in automation in the textile industry and as Director Luca Formentini puts it, with automation the company intends to change all that is related to the handling of the dye house by means of automatic machinery such as roof cranes or special robots that manage the materials in relation to the loading carriers, centrifuges and dryers
Italy-based Loris Bellini has caught the attention of the textile industry globally with its complete plants for yarn dyeing and drying. The company is geared up for participating in the forthcoming India ITME 2022 exhibition. Sounding extremely happy at the company’s performance in 2022, Director Luca Formentini said, “The year 2022 was surprisingly above expectations and we look forward to repeating the same experience for 2023. China was the main driver this year and represented more than 50% of the total turnover. Turkey and Europe complete the top three in the list of the main areas we could sell our machines to in the present year.” Pointing out the key highlights in terms of business, new products and technologies that have been driving the company’s growth story, he mentioned: “This year we could notice that automation is coming back with a strong interest by many customers no matter in which country they are actually located in.”
“With automation we intend to change all that is related to the handling of the dye house by means of automatic machinery such as roof cranes or special robots that manage the materials in relation to the loading carriers, centrifuges and dryers. Our company was a pioneer in this field as we presented the first fully automatic installation in 1982. This year we could sell at least two important automatic installations, one in Germany for tops dyeing and the other one in Turkey for packages and tops dyeing. Automatic plants offer several advantages when compared to manual ones. In particular, they actually need less human operators to achieve the same results in the dye house and, as a direct consequence of this, there is a complete elimination of human errors, which inevitably translates into higher working efficiency and faster operations,” he added.
Presence in India
Going into details regarding the company’s presence in the Indian market, Luca Formentini stated: “Loris Bellini is present in the Indian market since many years. India is definitely a key market for our organisation and we look forward to investing even more in the future. With our esteemed agent Batliboi from one side and our local after-sales service from the other, we feel we have a great presence in this market, which can already count several hundreds of machines sold in the last two decades. The recent pandemic brought about a general slowdown for nearly all markets and India was no exception for us in this regard. However, we believe ITME 2022 will help customers regain confidence in the future and we look forward to great business relationships in the coming future.”
Speaking about the company’s partnership with Batliboi, he remarked: “We started our collaboration with Batliboi in 2010, so that would make 12 years of great success together. Batliboi is a reliable and efficient organisation very well known in the textile industry in general and they can boast of an extensive presence all across the country that can spread our name from north to south and east to west. After so many years of work together, we could build up a quick and productive communication channel that simplifies the achievement of our common goals. We definitely look forward to keeping up the good work together for a long time to come.”
ITMA 2022
Luca Formentini is excited about Loris Bellini’s participation in India ITME 2022. “After the pandemic struck the industry for two years that brought about an upheaval, we are finally very excited to participate in ITME 2022. Human relations need human interactions and it’s definitely a great pleasure for us to meet our customers in person once again. We have no particular plans for new machines or service during this exhibition, but we are sure it will be a success in any case.”
Pulsar Technology
Sustainable textile manufacturing is not an option anymore. It is the only way to manufacture. Noting how the company’s products and technology are helping its customers in achieving their sustainability goals, Formentini stated: “Loris Bellini has always been committed to sustainable textile since many years, but our substantial contribution started when we introduced our Pulsar technology to the market in 2014. Pulsar is our revolutionary system for yarn and tops dyeing that required approximately four years of intense research and development before it was ready for large-scale production.”
“Thanks to its worldwide patented circulation system, which is truly innovative in this field, Pulsar can achieve an extraordinary reduction of utility consumptions, such as 60% less electric energy, 30% less water and nearly 20% less steam. There about 200 Pulsar machines installed worldwide at the moment and we are proud to believe they can all give a significant cut to CO2 emissions if compared to standard machines,” he added. Textile companies are increasingly investing on automation and digitisation solutions and the company is at the forefront of driving these initiatives. “Yes, this is exactly the case for 2022, especially regarding automation. Apart from the two automatic plants we sold in Germany and Turkey this year, we are constantly receiving requests for automatic plants from other countries, including India,” he said.
“Several automatic installations are presently in operation in China and Italy. Automatic plants require greater initial investments that are clearly paid back in a faster way thanks to higher efficiency and globally faster operations within the dye house. Loris Bellini has quite a vast experience in this field and can easily provide turnkey solutions to all those customers interested in automatic plants,” he added. Finally, when asked about the company’s future vision and its plan for India as part of its global strategy, Luca Formentini commented: “India will always remain an important part of our global strategy. Our future vision is 100% focused on the sustainability of the textile processes. Regarding dyeing machines, that means particular attention to the rationalisation of consumptions such as electric energy, water and chemicals. We feel responsible for the future generations and we should all aim for a better tomorrow.”
