LC636, the revolutionary carding technology from LMW

TM-Dec-12-20_2Lakshmi Machine Works (LMW) launched its most technologically advanced carding system LC636 at India-ITME 2012. The new card gives higher productivity of 250 kg per hour for course counts and open end.

Currently, LMW offers the LC361 and 363 with a capacity of 120 kg per hour. The LC636 marks a significant leap in technology from the previous generation of cards. It has a working width of 1.5 meters compared to one meter working width in the existing machines. Currently this machine is under trial, and deliveries are expected by the end of 2013, says Mr. Balamuralikrishna, General Manager, LMW.

The LC636 comes packed with features like pressure regulated chute for better feeding with specially profiled finger plate, opening roller with mote knife for trash ejection, special stripper roller in chute with tangential air strips for effective feed to card, individual drive for feed, opening and stripper rollers, direct feeding to card feed roller of dia 253.6mm (Equal to Licker-in dia), swingable bottom chamber duct in chute for easy access in card back zone, single licker-in arrangement with arcual combing segment, highest active carding area of 1.95m2 and highest active cylinder area of 3.95m2, optimum cylinder diameter of 1017mm leading to lower thermal expansion and higher centrifugal force, radial adjustment of top plate in the flats entry / exit zone, radially adjustable cylinder tongue with adjustable nipping distance, high take up conveyor web doffing device and standalone 40” linear coiler.

The machine also comes with electronic touch screen display systems. With the LC636, LMW has clearly set high standards in carding technology.
