Kirloskar Toyota Textile Machinery Pvt. Ltd. (KTTM), a joint venture between the Kirloskar Group and Toyota Industrial Corporation of Japan, is equipped with all latest manufacturing facilities. Patronized by many renowned textile groups in India, KTTM started its operation in 1997 at Jigani near Bangalore by manufacturing high-speed ring frames with world class technology, and till now has supplied around three million spindles to spinning industries in India and abroad.
Considering the growing demand for super-long frames, KTTM has been the front-runner to continuously work with latest developments and has introduced 1,440 spindle frames in India. Showcased at ITME 2008 in Bangalore, this development of KTTM received overwhelming market response. Since then, ring frames with spindles of up to 1,440 or 1,632 per machine are very popular in the market.
By maintaining continuous technological developments, KTTM introduced and showcased “Super Long Ring Frame” with 1,824 spindles per frame at India-ITME 2012 held in Mumbai and subsequently announced the first order from the Kallam Group during the event. The first machine of RXI240e with 1,824 spindles was switched on at Kallam Brothers Cottons Pvt. Ltd. by the Managing Director of KTTM, Mr. Masafumi Kunito, on May 30 last.
Inaugurating the first machine, he said that launching of the longest machine is a milestone in KTTM’s history, and expressed the hope that spinners in India and abroad would be beneficiaries of this new development.
Mr. K. Nagireddy, Managing Director, Kallam Brothers, opined that with Toyota’s strength in automation and present availability of maximum spindles per machine, RXI 240e with 1,824 spindles would become the obvious choice for any new spinner.
Mr. S.V. Govindraj, Vice President, Kallam Group, expressed confidence that this longest machine would add considerably to the profitability of new spinning mills.
Mr. Ashok Juneja, Vice President, KTTM, acknowledging the association with the Kallam Group for more than four years, appreciated the initiatives always taken by the group for acquiring the latest technology machines to ensure product quality.
