Kornit Digital, a leading provider of industrial and commercial digital printing, superior pigmented ink and unique chemistry solutions for the textile industry, has chosen Hong Kong as the location for its first-ever demonstration center in Asia Pacific.
The textile technology leader, which pioneered state-of-the-art direct-to-garment printing solutions suitable for everything from entry-level to mass production, celebrated the launch with a Digital Printing Technology Exchange Forum in the morning and an official opening ceremony in the afternoon, both of which were attended by VIP guests from around the region.
Located in the heart of Asia’s textile trade and the busiest crossroads for designers, manufacturers and buyers, the new 2,500 sq/ft demo center is equipped with the latest Kornit product line. It will provide customers with advice, demonstrations, sample printing and testing as well as training on Kornit’s groundbreaking solutions.
“The fashion market changes almost as quickly as the weather, and trends such as e-commerce and enhanced shopping experiences have put the customer right in the center of the equation. Short-to-medium runs represent one of the fastest-growing opportunities in the industry today. That is exactly where Kornit Digital’s portfolio excels – the lucrative and highly competitive on-demand custom-made garment market,” said Eyal Manzoor, Kornit Digital’s Managing Director for Asia Pacific.
The new demo center is located in the same building as Kornit Digital’s Asia Pacific headquarters. In addition to boasting a fleet of Kornit’s most advanced, high-performance digital printers, the center also features a warehouse stocking an ample supply of inks and spare parts.
Customers are welcome to visit the demo center to discuss ideas or application issues, and to conduct printing tests on the machines, which include the Kornit Breeze, Kornit Thunder and Kornit Avalanche DC Pro.
Guests at the opening included Joshua Singer, Sales and Marketing Manager for the New Pistol Clothing Pty Ltd., a longstanding Kornit customer, and a keynote speaker. Pistol was the first company in Australia to offer online t-shirt printing services.
“Kornit garment printers enable fewer purges, better ink flow, better quality printing, built-in spray, better software and better color matching. The on-demand printing solution we use allows us to expand our business into new product areas such as customization, offering customers the ability to upload their own photos and add customized text,” said Singer.
According to Manzoor, Hong Kong was the logical choice for Kornit Digital’s first Asia Pacific demo center. “Hong Kong has always been a key player in the regional textile trade. It is centrally located, well served by air links and has few visa or import/export formalities. It is also right in the heart of the Asia Pacific, the world’s largest textile manufacturing market,” he said.
